Food Bank

Hours of Operation: Wednesdays – 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.. No appointment necessary, please bring a photo id.
We are an agency of St. Mary’s Food Bank. Our Food Bank is located in the building where the office is. Food boxes are available for individuals and families. The food bank is staffed by volunteers, with food items provided through the generosity of parish members.
If you would like to donate to the food bank, items can be left in the lobby during office hours (Monday through Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) or on Sundays before and after the service. Financial contributions are also welcome. Please designate your gift “food bank.” Thank you!
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian organization dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and homelessness worldwide and to making adequate, affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat is founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, decent, affordable place to live in dignity and safety.
St. Stephen’s parishioners volunteer their time and their resources to help the Episcopal Coalition of Central Arizona put two new families into good, affordable houses each year. They also help the coalition support Habitat projects elsewhere in the country and around the world through its annual tithe.

Twelve-Step Programs

St. Stephen’s hosts the Valley Alano Club in our upper campus. This independent, non-profit organization’s sole purpose is to provide meeting space and supplies for 12-Step programs. Valley Alano rents the upper campus for smaller meetings and the parish hall for larger meetings. We also provide meeting space for several smaller 12-step groups that meet throughout the week.
Detour Company Theatre
St. Stephen’s provides rehearsal and storage space for Detour Company Theatre, a non-profit organization that provides real theater training and performance experiences for adults with intellectual and physical challenges. Detour’s musical plays are performed at local playhouses for the enjoyment of the wider community.
